Giving is one of the ways we express our gratitude to God and is an important way to support the life and ministries of Massey Presbyterian Church. Every financial gift helps support our ministries, care for those in need, maintain our church home, and share the love and hope of Jesus within our community and beyond. Every gift, no matter the size, makes a meaningful difference. Thank you for your generosity and partnership in the work God is doing through the church.

Why give?

There is a well-known biblical saying: “it is better to give than to receive”. The saying is a reminder that there is more to life than self service and pursuit of one’s own happiness. When we give of ourselves, we transform the lives of those around us. We also transform our own hearts, learning to look beyond ourselves and our own immediate needs. We believe we are made in the image of a loving God and are called to follow Jesus on his path of self-giving love. We believe that this path of love is the way to new community and fullness of life together.

Financial donations

As we are a registered charity, one third of your named giving (up to the amount of your annual income) can be claimed back through a rebate at the end of the financial year. To claim a rebate your donation needs to be made with a giving number so we can provide you with a tax donation receipt at the end of the year. Contact the Church Administrator to get a giving number for your online or envelope giving.

Bequests

Some members of the congregation and wider community leave bequests. This is a great way to invest in the future ministry of the church. You might like to consider including a bequest in your will to Massey Presbyterian Church. Your legal representative can help you with this.
