Senior Minister: Stuart Lange

Stuart became the minister of Massey-Riverhead in February 1992. He previously ministered in two other churches, in Auckland and Southland.  He leads the ministry team, and is responsible for services of worship, the Bible teaching ministry, and overall oversight.  Stuart is also a Senior Lecturer at Laidlaw College, where he teaches the history of Christianity, and for some years was Vice-Principal.  Late in 2008 he completed his PhD from Otago University.  It is easiest to contact Stuart in the evenings or via email.  He is married to Rose, and has four sons and six grandsons.

 

 


 

 Youth & Young Adults:  Aaron Geddis

Aaron grew up in Auckland, and enjoys the outdoors (particularly soccer), a good movie, and good food.  He has a degree in theology from Laidlaw College and, in addition to his responsibilities here, works part time as an electrician, and has just started a Doctoral degree in theology.  Aaron married CoCo in March 2016.


 

Children & Families Worker: Jo Huggins

Jo comes originally from Wellington. She completed a degree in Physical Education (with first class honours) at Otago and has taught science and PE in high schools for five years. She now lives in Te Atatu Peninsula with her husband, Paul, and their three children: Shelley, Danielle and Jay.

Amanda was a cheerful presence in the office for a couple of years. She now works from home, coming in sometimes.

Valerie began with us early in 2008, not long after she returned from the UK, where she was working in administration and in IT.

YOUTH AND YOUNG ADULTS WORKER

Massey Presbyterian Church, a multi-cultural evangelical church on the growing northwest edge of Auckland, is looking for a new youth and young adults staff worker: someone who is deeply committed Christian believer, is able to connect warmly with youth, has a strong biblical understanding, is passionate about helping people come to faith and become disciples of Christ, is an effective communicator, has good people skills and is a team player, is energetic, and is able to inspire and build. The role is initially half-time, but could be combined with other work, or study.

 

PASTORAL POSITION (Massey)

Massey Presbyterian,a multi-cultural evangelical church, is looking for an associate or assistant pastor, to work in our staff team. We seek someone with deep biblical faith, passion for the Gospel, a heart for people, high motivation, and good communication and team skills. The role is initially part-time, but could be combined with other roles, other work, or study.

 

PASTORAL POSITION (Riverhead)

Riverhead Family Church, in the growing Riverhead community, seeks a pastor who can help lead the church into increasing vibrancy and growth. They seek someone who has a strong biblical faith, is warmly relational, preaches well, can work with all ages (and especially families), is energetic and gifted in sharing the faith and making disciples, and is a team player. The church is part of the wider Massey-Riverhead Presbyterian church. The position is part-time, and could be combined with other work, or study.

 

PASTOR (Helensville)

South Kaipara Presbyterian Parish is looking for a minister (lay or ordained). The main congregation is Helensville Community Church, a small but committed group of varying ages. It meets in excellent new facilities and has a more charismatic worship style. There is also a more traditional congregation at St. Cuthbert's Kaukapakapa, meeting every second Sunday afternoon. A pastor is sought who teaches the Word, is led by the Spirit, has great people skills, is energetic in reaching into the community, and who is able to grow the church. The position is currently less than full-time, begins early in 2018, and will (at least initially) be on a stated supply basis.  (Rev Dr Stuart Lange is the interim moderator for this parish.)
